Description:
Sandra is my sister, who lives in California (my home state). She was coming to visit me here in Kentucky (my adopted home state), so in honor of her visit I wanted to to develop the ultimate beauty cream for the face, using only all natural ingredients. My sister is one of those people who religiously uses creams, lotions and beauty potions to protect her skin and prevent aging.

I researched the herbs I wanted to use and whipped up a potion that turned out to be more of an ointment than a lotion. Ok, I can fix that. In the meantime, I start slicing onions to make some French onion soup. The cutting board got quite slippery with all the onions and the knife slipped, cutting the side of my index finger to the bone. With the first stroke of pain, I knew I'd done something really bad and was going to pass out with a couple more throbs. I had to do something quickly. The only thing at hand was the face ointment I had jus made. I grabbed a big blob of the ointment, put it on my finger, wrapped it in a paper towel and sat down on the kitchen floor so I wouldn't fall when I passed out.

Almost immediately, my finger stopped throbbing and the pain vanished. I thought, "Wow, that was a lucky guess on my part". I got up off the floor and put a more organized bandage on my finger. Over the next few days, my finger didn't get sore or stiff and the cut healed from the inside out. To this day, the scar from the cut is invisible. I had to apologize to my sister, instead of only creating the ultimate night cream, the potion became Sandra's Healing Ointment.

Ingredients:
Olive and other vegetable oils, alcohol extracts of fennel, lavender and white willow bark, tea tree oil, plus benzoin absolute (a natural plant resin).
